This was one of the reasons why the Richard Nixon administration involved the United States in the coup d'état of September 11, 1973, to overthrow the existing government and establish the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. In the radio address that Allende managed to broadcast from La Moneda (the presidential palace) under the bombs of the coup plotters, he said, just before sacrificing himself, that he was confident in the future. The seeds sown in the conscience of the Chilean people could not be uprooted by force. Half a century later, in May 2021, the Chilean people voted for radical structural reform and an end to neoliberalism. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, she also studied in Lisbon and completed an illustration program in Barcelona.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHer work explores individual and collective memory, the passage of time, and the stories told by everyday objects and memories. She also addresses social issues, notably gender inequality and precariousness.
