This white unisex Frantz Fanon sweatshirt makes room for art and anti-colonial thought in your everyday outfits. Marie-Claire Laffaire signs a clean-lined design, conceived around Fanon’s powerful gaze. Her keen sense of perspective guides a creation thought of as a "Fanon mask," in reference to Black Skin, White Masks.

The drawing is the result of a collaboration with director Jean-Claude Barny to prepare minds for the release of his film Fanon. This encounter between drawing and cinema invites you to discover the man and the ideas behind this face.

Available in white, this sweatshirt combines a relaxed fit with a blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester. Worn over a t-shirt with jeans, it accompanies chilly days with a piece where style has meaning.

THE ANTI-COLONIAL PSYCHIATRIST

FRANTZ FANON (1925-1961) - MARTINIQUE

Born in Martinique, Frantz Fanon was a psychiatrist, writer, and major thinker of the anti-colonial struggle. His work in Algeria fueled his reflection on the psychological wounds of colonial domination, alienation, and racism. In Black Skin, White Masks and The Wretched of the Earth, he explores the conditions for mental, cultural, and political emancipation. Committed to the FLN, he placed his thought at the service of peoples in struggle. Having died in 1961 at the age of 36, he left behind a body of work that continues to illuminate reflections on freedom, identity, and dignity.
