The energy of the seventies meets a relaxed silhouette. This unisex sweatshirt pays tribute to Gil Scott-Heron with a colorful pop art design by Fred Ebami. A piece to accompany cooler days while wearing an engaged voice.

In Desert Dust, heather gray, or white, this light-toned version combines 85% organic cotton with 15% recycled polyester. Its relaxed fit, set-in sleeves, and 281.42 g/m² fabric weight make it a piece to wear over a t-shirt or with jeans, for a style where art has its place.

A creation by artist Fred Ebami

A Franco-Cameroonian pop artist, Fred Ebami creates using photographs and drawings that he reworks on the computer. In his artistic practice, he combines digital creation with interventions using Posca markers, spray paint, or acrylics, weaving a unique link between the organic and the digital. Passionate about posters and lithographs, he plays with slogans and bright colors to grab attention and convey a message. His portrait of Gil Scott-Heron brings this pop energy into dialogue with the poet and musician's committed voice.

In 2018, the South African magazine Tropics named him one of the most influential African artists.

THE MILITANT PEN OF URBAN POETRY

GIL SCOTT-HERON (1949-2011) - UNITED STATES

An American poet, musician, and writer, Gil Scott-Heron brought jazz, soul, funk, and spoken word into dialogue. In the 1970s, his voice and lyrics denounced racism, poverty, and social injustice. Works such as The Revolution Will Not Be Televised and Winter in America embody this engaged voice. Considered one of the precursors of hip-hop, he leaves behind a body of work where poetry becomes a tool for awareness and emancipation.
