Carrying hope, opening up every possibility. On this faded worker jacket, Marie-Claire Laffaire draws Mahmoud Darwish in a window to the universe, before a celestial vault. The words "We shall be a people, if we so wish" resonate with confidence in what we can build together. A portrait turned toward the future, an invitation to grow our dreams and share the beauty of the world.

In Organic Khaki or indigo, this work jacket combines a tailored fit with a 340 g/m² 100% organic cotton fabric. Worn over a t-shirt, with jeans or dress trousers, it creates a silhouette where the worker spirit meets poetry. An artist's jacket for wearing one's convictions with elegance and bringing hope into everyday gestures. At United Souls, style has meaning.

A creation by Marie-Claire Laffaire

The portrait and this opening to the sky invite us to discover Darwish as a presence, a voice, and a promise of the future. The quote accompanies the drawing like a thread that connects people and fuels the desire to build together. Wearing this creation means making room for Palestinian poetry, its beauty, and its universal momentum.

A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, Marie-Claire Laffaire grew up in Corrèze and trained at the Académie Jacques-Gabriel Chevalier in Brive, then in spatial design in Toulouse. After fifteen years devoted to architectural illustration, alongside poster design, she has been dedicating herself since the end of 2019 to an artistic quest that questions memory through drawing. This window to the universe offers a space to welcome a face and all that it invites us to imagine.

THE VOICE OF RESISTANCE AND PEACE

MAHMOUD DARWISH (1941-2008) - PALESTINE

A Palestinian poet born in Al-Birwa in 1941, Mahmoud Darwish turned poetry into a place where the intimate and collective history meet. Marked by exile, his work explores land, memory, identity, and the desire to live. His texts convey the Palestinian experience while opening a universal conversation about belonging and dignity. Having passed away in 2008, he leaves behind a voice whose strength lies as much in his commitment as in the importance given to love, beauty, and hope.
