A portrait to bring the elegance of the Star of the Orient to life. Marie-Claire Laffaire draws Oum Kalthoum in a monochrome earthy red, true to the singer's iconic look. The Arabic inscription features her nickname, "Star of the Orient," highlighting the radiance of her sovereign presence.
This design also celebrates a voice that unites. Emblematic of the Arab world, Oum Kalthoum’s music resonates beyond the borders of the Maghreb and the Middle East, beyond languages and affiliations. When she sings, her voice becomes a meeting place, a shared emotion.
This women’s Oum Kalthoum artist t-shirt with a ribbed collar combines this portrait with a straight cut and organic cotton fabric. Paired with a skirt, jeans, or worn under an open jacket, it accompanies your days while giving space to art and the memory of a unifying voice.

THE VOICE OF ARAB UNITY AND IDENTITY
OUM KALTHOUM (approx. 1902–1975) - EGYPT
Oum Kalthoum, nicknamed the "Star of the Orient," the "Diva," the "People’s Singer," the "Nightingale of the Nile," and even the "Fourth Pyramid," is one of the greatest singers in the Arab world. Starting her career in 1922, she recorded hundreds of songs accompanied by a traditional orchestra that continued to grow in size. Through her art, she succeeded in uniting Arabs beyond their divisions and is, in this respect, considered the voice of Arab identity and unity. Involved in the evolution of Egyptian society and the Arab nation, Oum Kalthoum sang of revolution and the evacuation of British forces from Egyptian territory, and with the rise of Nasser, became the embodiment of Pan-Arabism. Her song "Wallah Zaman Ya Silahi" became the national anthem of the United Arab Republic in 1960.
