Radiant dignity, a tribute to wear on your back. Marie-Claire Laffaire portrays Rosa Parks in a realistic drawing that evokes quiet pride. The portrait celebrates a major figure of the civil rights movement, whose determination helped push back against racial segregation.
In this resplendent face, one can read a sense of victory over an order that imposed inequality. The artist shows Rosa Parks beyond her single act of refusal: a woman whose presence embodies strength and hope. A tribute to hard-won victories, keeping the demand for equality alive.
On this faded organic cotton worker jacket, the portrait is printed on the back using DTF transfer. Its fitted cut can be worn over a t-shirt, with jeans or dress trousers: from the front, an everyday jacket; from the back, a presence that conveys a history of dignity and resistance.

THE MOTHER OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT
ROSA PARKS (1913-2005) - UNITED STATES
Born in 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama, Rosa Parks was an African American seamstress. With her husband, she campaigned for the registration of Black people on electoral rolls and, after experiencing an initial racist incident on a bus, she joined the local branch of the NAACP, the civil rights organization. Elected secretary, she documented racist incidents and campaigned notably on the 1944 gang rape case of Recy Taylor. Eleven years later, on December 1, 1955, her arrest following her refusal to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery bus sparked the 381-day boycott of the city's public transport. As the catalyst for Martin Luther King's first successful mass action, Rosa Parks continued her commitment in Detroit, where she passed away on October 24, 2005.
