But she also transforms his uniform. After discovering, in a documentary broadcast on ARTE, how the patterns of certain fabrics can express a message in the public space, Joy is particularly struck by a pattern called "Advisor." In the story she discovers, wearing this fabric equates to asserting a posture of counsel, maturity, and a position as someone you can count on.

She then substitutes this pattern for Sankara's military camouflage. A choice that shifts the gaze: the captain retains his bearing, but his garment now speaks of responsibility and transmission. For Joy, this language is the one that suits her best.

His commitment to economic self-sufficiency transformed the country, marking significant progress in education and agriculture. Through these concrete actions, he demonstrated his bold vision for an autonomous and prosperous Burkina Faso.

As a charismatic leader, Sankara gave new momentum to African politics, inspiring future generations. His legacy transcends the borders of Burkina Faso, embodying a struggle for freedom, equality, and social justice. Unfortunately, his visionary mandate was cut short by a coup d'état in 1987, leaving behind a complex, yet undeniably powerful legacy. Thomas Sankara thus remains an iconic figure of African leadership, having revolutionized the way Africa envisioned its future.
