But she also transforms his uniform. After discovering, in a documentary broadcast on ARTE, how the patterns of certain loincloths can express a message in the public sphere, Joy was particularly struck by a pattern called "Advisor." In the story she discovers, wearing this loincloth means asserting a stance of counsel, of maturity, a position as someone you can count on.

She then substitutes this pattern for Sankara's military camouflage. A choice that shifts the gaze: the captain keeps his look, but his clothing now speaks of responsibility and transmission. For Joy, this language is the one that suits her best.

Thomas Sankara, a visionary Burkinabè revolutionary, transcended the simple role of a tribune galvanizing the masses to become the architect of a new way of living, acting, and thinking about the Black condition. Beyond his fiery speeches, he distinguished himself by undertaking major reforms, thus shaping Burkina Faso in an unprecedented way.

Sankara challenged the established order by actively fighting corruption, implementing innovative educational and agricultural policies, and elevating the status of women. His commitment to economic self-sufficiency transformed the country, marking significant progress in education and agriculture. Through these concrete actions, he demonstrated his bold vision for an autonomous and prosperous Burkina Faso.

As a charismatic leader, Sankara infused new momentum into African politics, inspiring future generations. His legacy transcends the borders of Burkina Faso, embodying a struggle for freedom, equality, and social justice. Unfortunately, his visionary mandate was cut short by a coup d'état in 1987, leaving behind a complex, but undeniably powerful legacy. Thomas Sankara thus remains an emblematic figure of African leadership, having revolutionized the way Africa conceived its future.
