But she also transforms his uniform. After discovering in a documentary aired on ARTE how the patterns of certain loincloths can convey a message in the public sphere, Joy was particularly struck by a pattern named "Advisor." In the narrative she discovered, wearing this loincloth signifies assuming a position of counsel, of maturity, a role as someone one can rely on.

She then substitutes this pattern for Sankara's military camouflage. A choice that shifts the gaze: the captain retains his stature, but his clothing now speaks of responsibility and transmission. For Joy, this is the language that resonates most with her.

His legacy transcends the borders of Burkina Faso, embodying a struggle for freedom, equality, and social justice. Unfortunately, his visionary mandate was cut short by a coup in 1987, leaving behind a complex but undeniably powerful legacy.
